These 'Hairy Cows' were handsome, muscular and wore a thick coat which also fell over their eyes. During a recent visit to Scotland, with husband and dear friends, we were very fortunate to visit an estate which raised these marvelous animals. They were well fed, well kept and had nearly endless roaming grounds. A wonderful experience. 
Upon returning home, I painted this delightful calf. (D.Justice)
